Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes

Sharing is caring!

Easy homemade sloppy joes take on a whole new level of deliciousness when heaped on garlic bread and topped with gooey melted cheese. This 20 minute ground beef recipe takes just a handful of ordinary ingredients and turns it into a hearty main dish that kids and adults alike will enjoy.

As grocery prices continue to rise, I have been trying to find budget friendly recipes that are accessible to everyone. Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes are a great recipe for any home cook, especially people who are just moving out and learning to cook their own meals as this is a perfect quick and low cost entree. The ingredients for this tomato soup based sloppy joe filling are staples in most pantries and are so easy to get ahold of.

I must admit, Sloppy Joes are one of my all time favorite sandwiches! They are a comforting classic that I always have the ingredients for, and I know my family and friends will enjoy. Perfect for whipping up at the last minute when you find out guests are coming, this recipe has a fantastic twist. Instead of using boring old sandwich buns I use garlic Texas Toast for an immediate sloppy joe upgrade. Trust me when I say this simple change will make a huge difference to your standard sloppy joes.  After trying a Texas Toast sloppy joe, you won’t want to go back to regular joes!

I love this idea! If you had a big crowd you could thick slice a loaf of gralic bread and make these up. And I bet they would be great on sourdough bread. No way they wouldn't be great for a crowd or when the teenagers all drop in unexpectedly. I think I'll make up a double batch and freeze each individually in foil so all I have to do is pull one out, mic to heat, add the cheese and enjoy with a quick salad or soup. Thank you!

Hey Patti,

That's a great idea to make them up and freeze them for later. Would be a perfect easy dinner for a couple of empty nesters or single folks. I say this as a momma heading towards an empty nest. My brain is taking a while to catch up to that idea though!
