What Do I Need To Make This Recipe?
- 5 Cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 1 cup dry roasted and salted peanuts
- 1.5 cups mini pretzel twists
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup dried apple chips
- ½ cup caramel bits
Step by Step Instructions:
- In a large microwaveable bowl add the rice Chex cereal, pretzels and peanuts
2. Cut the butter into tablespoon sized pieces and add it to another microwaveable bowl along with the brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Heat for a minute or two at 50% power until the butter has completely melted. Stir to combine.
3. Pour the melted brown sugar butter over cereal mixture. Stir gently to make sure all of the pieces are coated.
4. Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes, thoroughly stirring about every 2 minutes. Spread the hot cereal mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet pan to cool.
5. Once it has completely cooled (about 5 minutes) add the caramel bits and apple chips to the mixture and serve.
Store this scrumptious Caramel Apple Chex Mix in an airtight container at room temperature! Be careful where you put it though . . . (I’m not kidding about it being addictive!)

- 5 Cups Rice Chex Cereal

- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup dried apple chips
- ½ cup caramel bits
Instructions
- In a large microwaveable bowl add the rice chex cereal, pretzels and peanuts.
