Air Fryer Hot Honey Salmon Bites
Crisp edged, flaky and tender bites of perfectly cooked salmon with just the right amount of spice and a dynamite hot honey and soy sauce marinade.

I’ll be honest with you. I love salmon and it used to be that I would order it at a restaurant all the time, but I would never make it at home. Thanks to my air fryer, I can not quit making these air fryer salmon bites. Goodness gracious, you won’t find an easier way to cook salmon at home. It turns out perfectly every time, only takes a few minutes to put together and is an absolute breeze to clean up.
My daughter gets all the credit for this salmon recipe. When I first tried it at her house, I could not believe just how much flavor are packed into these crispy salmon bites. Served on a bed of steamed jasmine rice and topped with fresh Spicy Mango Salsa, a bit of cilantro and an extra drizzle of hot honey it honestly tasted like a salmon bowl I’d pay a lot of money for at a restaurant!
Salmon is a great dish to know how to cook at home because it’s such a great high quality protein source full of Omega-3 fatty acids as well as other essential vitamins and minerals.

No Air Fryer? What are you waiting for? You need to get one! That said, yes, of course I’m including instructions on how to make baked salmon bites in the oven. Just look at the notes section of the recipe card.

Here’s What You’ll Need to Make This Air Fryer Salmon Bites Recipe

4 boneless skinless salmon fillets or about 1 1/2 pounds
- (You can totally use skin on salmon fillets or steaks and remove the skin yourself, or even leave it on. I like to use boneless and skinless because it means less prep work. And I am always all about making life easier in the kitchen! The cut of salmon isn’t super important, because it will be cut into chunks anyway.)
½ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
½ cup plain panko bread crumbs (feel free to sub gluten free panko bread crumbs)
¼ cup hot honey, (I used Mike’s hot honey)
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon paprika
What to serve with Air Fryer Salmon Bites?
As I mentioned above, I like to serve these seasoned salmon bites with steamed rice, mango salsa, cilantro and another drizzle of hot honey.
But other serving suggestions include:
- Quinoa
- Cauliflower rice
- Steamed or stir fried veggies
- Glazed Carrots
- Or try adding a bit of shredded cabbage, lime juice, extra hot honey and wrapping it up in a tortilla for easy salmon tacos!
- Or add your salmon bites to the top of your favorite salad combination
Step by Step Instructions:

1. Cube salmon about 1 inch thick.
2. Combine soy sauce, hot honey, brown sugar and olive oil, place cubed salmon in mixture, let marinate about 15 minutes.

3. Combine panko, parmesan, salt, pepper, paprika, parsley

4. After salmon is finished marinating toss dry ingredients with salmon, ensure all salmon is evenly coated.

5. Preheat Air fryer at 400 degrees about 5 minutes. If using parchment paper after preheating, place liner and lightly grease to prevent from sticking.

6. Cook salmon bites for 5-7 minutes, salmon should be fully cooked, flaky and the breading golden brown on the outside. Cook in batches if needed. Serve warm.
Store your leftover salmon bites in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. When you are ready to reheat the salmon, just toss them back into the air fryer at 350 degrees for about 3-4 minutes, or just until they are heated throughout.
About Air Fryer Liners: A lot of people are not fans of air fryer liners because they sometimes be clunky and hard to work with. But they can also make cleanup a breeze! For this recipe, you’ll want to look for air fryer liners with holes that allow the hot air to freely circulate through the bottom of the basket. It’s important that the air can circulate well so that all your salmon bites cook evenly to get those crispy edges.
Doubling this recipe: This recipe can be doubled. But again, keep in mind that it is very important that the salmon bites need to be in a single layer without crowding the air fryer basket. So you might need to cook it in batches when doubling.
