What do I Need to Make Spinach and Feta Beer Bread?

A bowl of the dry ingredients next to a can of beer, a bowl of feta cheese, and a bowl of spinach.
  • 3 cups (330g) sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 Tablespoons feta cheese crumbles
  • 1/3 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can (12-ounces) beer room temperature
  • 1/4 cup butter

Step by Step Instructions:

The dry ingredients are mixed with a fork next to the other ingredients.

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.

In a mixing bowl add the all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to combine the dry ingredients.

The other ingredients are added to the bowl.

Step 2: If you have any large clumps of feta, break them apart with a fork so that none are larger than pea sized. Add the beer, feta cheese crumbles, and spinach to the dry ingredients, breaking apart the spinach into smaller pieces as you add it to the bowl.

The ingredients are mixed together with a fork until they become a dough-like consistency.

Step 3: Stir just until all of the dry ingredients have been incorporated.

The mixture is added to a bread pan, and melted butter is poured on top.

Step 4: Spread the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Pour the melted butter over the top of the batter.

The golden brown loaf is cooled on a rack.

Bake at 350 degrees for 38-42 minutes or until the bread is golden brown. Allow to cool 10 minutes in the pan, then turn out onto a wire rack.

With or without a main dish, this Spinach Feta Bread will satisfy your biggest bread cravings. Serve warm, and enjoy quick and easy spinach feta cheese bread with your family!

The loaf sits on a towel, and three slices are taken off.
