Easy to make pepperoni dip has all the flavors you love from pepperoni pizza and makes a great appetizer for any occasion. It can be served hot or cold, but I love a hot and cheesy dip in the winter and it makes a perfect game day snack.

I recently saw someone online complaining about how many recipes start with a block of cream cheese! They were specifically complaining about Midwesterners and let me tell you I felt targeted. Because is it even a party if you don’t have some kind of dish that starts with a block of cream cheese? Don’t even get me started on Super Bowl snacks; it’s a must. If you try and take away my creamy dips during the most important snack time of the year, I will fight you.

This Pepperoni Dip is so versatile, you can serve it hot or cold.

This dip is great served with crackers, bread sticks and spread on toast, but it also works so well when served cold stuffed into mini bell peppers! It just depends on your taste and your mood.

Alternatively you can also prepare this dip in the crock pot. It will take about 2 hours on low, or 1 hour on high. Slow cookers can vary with their temperature levels, so  I recommend checking your dip about every 30 minutes or so to be sure that it does not accidentally burn.  Once the cheese is melted and slightly bubbly, turn it to keep warm.

I love to use mini pepperoni for this dip because it simplifies the prep work, but you can use chopped regular pepperoni. You can also feel free to use turkey pepperoni and lower fat versions of the cheeses to make this dip lighter.

I have seen and tried other Pepperoni dips that contain cream of mushroom soup. Perhaps you have too? While I am no “cream of” hater, I don’t think it has any place in a Pepperoni Dip recipe, so that’s one thing you won’t find in this recipe.
