Malted Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup malted milk powder
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • ½ cup butter flavored crisco
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and prepare 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. 
  • In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and malted milk powder. 
  • In another bowl, beat together the butter and butter flavored Crisco. Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat on medium speed until the mixture is creamy. Add the egg one at at time, mixing well after each addition. 
  • Gradually add in the dry ingredients mixing on low until completely incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand. 
  • Drop by rounded spoonful onto the prepared cookie sheets, leaving at least 2 inches between cookies. 
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes or until the edges have turned golden. Allow the cookies to sit on the cookie sheets for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
